1939-50 A COLOURFUL GROUP WITH 1939-48 HIGH VALUES, ETC.: 1939 District Bank of Liverpool parcel tags (6), all sent express with various values inc. 2/6d green (6), 10 Aug. 1949 piece bearing 1/- (3), 5/-, 10/- ultramarine and £1 block of four. c1950 label with 1d, 2d, 1/- (3) and 10/- ultramarine block of four. 2/6d green block of sixteen (4 x 4) used in Glasgow. 11 DEC. 1939 - COMPLETE SHEET OF 10/- DARK BLUE - USED: A complete sheet of forty (8 x 6) 10/- dark blue in a late state without the constant variety [13]. Cancelled with multiple large "LONDON/???" cds's and in top right margin a very smudged South American arrival cds. Some faults but in am exceptional state of preservation for such an item. (Image)

Two examples from London to Gibraltar both with over two sides 2d, 2½d, 1/-, 5/- and 10/- ultramarine block of four. 1945 or later tag from London to Holland with ½d, 4d, 1/-, 5/- and 10/- ultramarine (2). Another dated 11 Jan. 1944 to the same destination bearing over both sides 1d (2), 2½d, 5/ and 10/- ultramarine paying the 27lb 10oz rate for a parcel. c.1948 tag from London to Venezuela bearing over two sides ½d, 4d 1/- and 10/- ultramarine paying the rate for a 12lb 6oz parcel. Also another from London to Lima bearing over both sides ½d, 4d, 1/- (2), 10/- ultramarine (5) and £1 (7) paying the rate for a 45lb 9oz parcel. 1944-46 TAGS TO CANAL ZONE - PANAMA & COLUMBIA - ONE SIGNED BY ANTHONY EDEN: 3 July 1944 O.BM.S. tag from the Foreign Office to Ancon bearing 1½d, 3d and 10/- dark blue, signed by "A EDEN" (foreign secretary). Another similar example bearing 1½d, 6d, and 1/- (4). 13 Nov. 1944 tag from London to Cristobal bearing ½d, 4d, 1/- (3) and 10/- dark blue. c.1945 tag from London to Colombia bearing over both sides ½d, 4d and 10/- dark blue (9, inc. a block of six).
