1948-56 Berlin 2pf obligatory tax stamps, specialised study with various watermarks and perforations, some varieties, covers, used in Baden, Rheinland and Wurttemberg, etc. (100s).

1954-60 Booklet Panes, including se-tenant panes in sheet form with S.G. 1109 quarter sheet (5 panes), S.G. 1152ba sheet and two quarter sheets (30 panes), S.G. 1152bca sheets (2) and quarter sheet (45 panes), etc. £8,500+. (100s).

Propaganda Forgeries. 1943 Card printed by British Intelligence and dropped over Germany, depicting Dr. Ley with a quote from a speech he gave claiming food rations are identical for all Germans, reverse with text of a Gestapo document showing Chiefs of Staff of German services actually receive four times the ration of civilians, bearing a 3pf propaganda forgery, superb unused. Also a leaf shaped aerial propaganda leaflet, and 1941 German postcard with Churchill caricature 'stamp' commercially used within Germany franked 6pf. All fine, the British card scarce as most were destroyed by the Germans. (3).

Hospital Ships. 1914-18 Covers and cards (12) with "KAIS. DEUTSCHE / MARINE / SCHIFFSPOST" datestamps No. 119 ("Portia"), 120 ("Viola"), 188 (3, "Sierra Ventana", one with senders cachet), 191 ("Adler") or 192 ("Lensahn", with named cachet), or with cachets of the "Adler", "Hansa", Hilflazarettschiff "G" ("Titania") or Lazarettschiff "C" (2, "Cassell"). Also cards of the "Sierra Ventana" (2) and "Hansa", the Dutch ship "Koningin Regentes" and unnamed Turkish ships (2), and a 1944 card of the "Robert Ley" probably sent from the ship. (19).

1914-18 Stampless Feldpost covers and cards from army or navy airship troops with various cachets (51), also German propaganda cards showing airships (4) and British cards showing Zeppelin raids or destroyed Zeppelins (20), 1915 card with message describing a raid, etc. (78+).

Post Offices in China. 1915-16 Stampless covers with printed "Agence des Prisonniers de Guerre" or "Service des Prisonniers de Guerre" heading, return address of "Hulfsaktion fur Deutsche und Oesterr.-Ungar. Gefangene in Sibirien", registered from the German P.O in Tientsin to the German Consulate in San Francisco, with "TIENTSIN / DEUTSCHE POST" datestamps, registered backstamps of the U.S Postal Agency in Shanghai. One handstamped boxed "R / TIENTSIN / EINGESCHREIBEN / No.." in red, the other with a registration label, fine and unusual. (2).

Post Offices in China. 1916 Stampless covers with printed "Agence des Prisonniers de Guerre" heading and "Hulfsaktion fur Deutsche und Oesterr.-Ungar. Gefangene in Sibirien" return address, registered from the German P.O in Tientsin to the German Consulate in San Francisco, "TIENTSIN / DEUTSCHE POST" datestamps and violet boxed "R / TIENTSIN / EINGESCHREIBEN / No..", registered backstamps of the U.S Postal Agency in Shanghai, one with a "CENSORED" label, fine and unusual. German Colonies. 1897-1901 Selection including South West Africa 1897 set mint with the unissued 25pf and 50pf, Kiautschou 10pf, 30pf, 40pf and 80pf used in Peking in April 1901 (S.G. £5,300, faults), also a few other probable forgeries. (20).

Marshall Islands. 1897-1901 Used selection with 1897-99 10pf, 20pf, 1899-1900 3pf - 25pf, 1901 3pf - 2m, a few additional stamps. S.G. £950. (21).

Munster (Westphalia). 1638-1867 Prestamp and stampless entire letters including 1638 entire letter to Vienna, money letters, letters sent with parcels, official mail, various cancels and official cachets, most written up on pages. (87).

c.1851-62 Entire letters bearing Hannover 1/30 thaler (S.G. 3) cancelled Bockenem c.d.s in blue, or Thurn & Taxis 9kr brown cancelled "104" with a Darmstadt c.d.s on the front, both stamps and entires very fine. (2).

1852-90 Mint and used selection including Thurn & Taxis (c.160) with 1859-61 5sgr used (2), Bergedorf (46), Lubeck (37) with used 1859 1s and 2s both possibly genuine, Heligoland, and North German Confederation, some reprints and forgeries, mixed condition with some faults. (100s).

Baden. 1851-68 Mint and used selection including 1860-62 3k (6, one deep blue), 6k (2), 9k, 1862 1k (4), 6k (2), 9k (5), perf 13½ 3k rose, 1868 7k sky blue all used, the rare 1862 1k silver-grey unused without gum (thin and horizontal crease), etc., condition very mixed but with some good stamps, also four pieces.
