1868 (13 July) Finland Nikolaistad to Lubeck, bearing pair 8 pen green (Facit 6) and 40 pen dull carmine (Facit 9), all stamps tied by small circular Nikolaistad 13.7, small FRANCO struck beside the stamps alongside red circular Aus Russland Franco 26.7, on reverse is Lubeck receiving pm 21 July; a very fine and tidy letter paying the 56 pen rate to Germany, the 40 pen has a minor tooth fault. 1889-1900 2 pen grey, perf. 14:13, unused without gum as issued, according to seller only one sheet produced; extremely rare and with very fresh colour; very fine with an extremely slight thin spot that stems from hinge removal, unpriced in FACIT. (Image)

1895 20 pen blue, perf. 12 ½, mint strip of 4 with imperforate vertically variety, with some browning to back, Facit lists the horizontally imperforate (16, perf. 12 ½, v6); probably derived from printers’ waste, but still very scarce; three very fine stamps and right stamp with a small thin spot.
