Antarctic Christmas cards (c1960): a) greetings photo montage card from Norman & Hallett Station crew & b) Antarctic base scene, photo sketch. Both neatly folded & signed (on rear) of adhesive applied, but no staining to view sides. Also, unrelated, photo of 1d Victoria Land on Br Antarctic Expdn letterhead.

Card: Carte de Visite, NZ 6 x 10cm with imprint of Clifford & Morris, Royal Arcade, Dunedin. With humorous design re having one's photo taken. Appears repurposed. Sold originally at 1/-. Fine.

Greeting card: NZ 1910 with embossed frame showing early train at top & with text "N.Z.R. Engine Drivers, Firemen & Cleaners Association, Cross Creek Branch, join in wishing you the season's greetings. Christmas 1910. New Year 1911". On back" photo of train with 4 locos ascending Rimutaka Incline. Light overall soiling, otherwise sound. Rare item.

Photos/snapshots: NZ c1930s-40s range of 45 diff small real photos incl some with identified locations (many appear to be Otago). Themes incl Glendinning homes for returned servicemen (Otago), motorbikes, cards & trucks, unemployment relief workers. Wanganui scenes. Noted 3 buses at Goose Bay (Marlborough), early "streamline" caravan etc. Real social history. Also small "snapshots" album of the period.

Photos/snapshots: NZ c1930s series of 30 diff small 8 x 6cm real photos of unemployment relief workers, stated to be in Motukituki Valley (by Lake Wanaka). Workers (apparently road building) primitive huts etc. Real social history of the great depression. Not a woman in sight! A few slightly faded.

Viewcards: c1910s set of 6 "Wellington, N.Z." real photos on thin card (8.5 x 6cm), plain backs, incl 5 fine city views & 1 of train on Rimutaka Incline "near Wellington, NZ". Smaller than PPCs. No publisher shown (possibly Tanner Bros). Fine unused.
