Accumulation of Federal and Provincial Revenue Stamps on Cheques and Documents, 1890s-1950s, with material possible on either side of the range. The lot essentially consists of three parts, with the first having several hundreds of cheques, franked with a variety Federal excise and or war tax stamps, along with Canada definitives including admirals, mufti, and war issues to name a few. The second part of the lot consists of seven British Columbia documents franked with Third Series revenue stamps, including an 1894 document with a genuinely used 50c bisect (BCL11a, van Dam c.v. $400). The balance of the lot consists of roughly 150 Ontario Land Title Office slips franked with law revenue stamps, generally ranging from the 1920 to 1930s. A nice lot for the specialist. A few faults to be expected, overall fine to very fine. (Image)
