1868-1935 COMPLETE MINT COLLECTION on SG printed pages with all spaces filled inc. 1867 -97 'large' & 'small' heads, 1893 'Widow weeds' pair (SG cat. £525) 1897 QV Jubilee complete to $5, (SG cat. £6000, $5 appears u/m & $4 has no gum, other dollar vals. with heavy hinges) then complete mint to 1935 with all definitive & commem sets inc. coils. The post 1897 issues have some adhesion to pages but could be removed with care, also the QV issues have gum toning in places and have varying amounts of gum from umm to having no gum. AIRMAILS - TWO EARLY PIONEER COVERS: 22 Dec. 1921 large env. from Birtle to Port Blandford with KGV 1c + 3c, redirected to Halifax and a 5c (pair) + 20c added & tied by violet boxed "FIRST/AIRMAIL/HALIFAX/TO/ST JOHN'S/JANUARY/1922" hs. The mail was never sent by air as the aircraft was badly damaged in an accident prior to departure. Also 1 Oct. 1924 special env. carried on the 1st flight from Estevan to Winnipeg bearing KGV 1c strip of three tied by a fine oval "VIA AEROPLANE/ESTEVAN, SASK" ds. Pilot signed (E A Alton).
