Endorsed by real signature of John Dewe. Partial MONEY LETTER hand stamp. Endorsed 727 ms. Late date TORONTO CANADA JY 7 1853 double split circle to George Snider Esq, Proton, CW [Grey Co]. No receiver. Pre-printed letter endorsed “No 9888”, enclosing a certificate of deposit for £32.10.0 paid into bank account of Geo Snider, “...being amount due to you for conveyance of the Mail between East Holland and Mono Mills....”. Endorsed on receipt “...and enclosing receipt for the quarter ending 30 June 1853, Rec’d 14th July/53”. “This is the only Free Money letter recorded”. File folds and torn at red seal. A GEM.
