1790-1861 group of early covers (8) incl. 1790 EL to London, bears DOVER/SHIP LETTER mark, contents concerns delay of timber shipment 'the cargo 40 miles up the (Belize) River yet,' 1822 duplicate letter from a Western Plantation to London charged '1/5' and corrected to 2/8 (appropriate postage for a 1oz letter), obverse bears 'COVE/SHIP-LETTER' in red, 1861 cover from London to Guatemala with black hand struck '4' and oval 'Antonio Mathe/BELIZE/HONDURAS' forwarding agent h/stamp in blue. 1862 cover to Paris with small Belize c.d.s, 1864 cover Belize to Jamaica with '4' rate in orange m/s & small red c.d.s, 1866 London to Honduras to forwarding agent 'PAULSE & Co/ST.
