ALS dated 29 May, 1918, in French on imprinted "Conseil National des Pays Tcheques" stationery, 4 pages, octavo, Paris. Benes writes: "Mon Colonel", regarding the Czech prisoners, including those in Russia, fine and very rare ALS, with full English translation (Image)

GILBERT, William and SULLIVAN, Arthur. (The Victorian-era theatrical partnership of the dramatist W. S. Gilbert (1836-1911) and the composer Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900). The two men collaborated on 14 comic operas between 1871 and 1896, of which H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado are among the best known).
