1927 Canberra tied to postcard by 'CANBERRA/9MY27/FCT' cds, the reverse with illustrated promotion for Wilson's Motor Service (Melbourne) to their existing clients referring to the issue of the stamp & the Opening of Parliament by the Duke of York (later KGVI), corner bend. An unusual advertising item that we have not previously seen.
1928 Kookaburra 3d x2 tied to plain cover to Ipswich by the scarce 'MARKETS/2NOV28/BRISBANE' machine, some toning that affects the stamps, Cat $2000. With the enclosed letter that states "...the Government are issuing a new Kookaburra Stamp today..."

1937-49 Definitives Perf 13½x14 3d Die II Thin Paper 'Ash' imprint block of 4 on cover endorsed "First day of issue/21st December 1938" with 'GPO MELBOURNE/3/21DE38/VIC-AUST' cds & another strike alongside ACSC #194y, blue R label, some toning around the stamps, Cat $1250. [The ACSC states that the issue date was 20th December, but Frank Pauer has confirmed that this is an error]
1945 Duke of Gloucester set on RN Nolan generic cover overprinted with issue-specific text and Sydney cds of 19FE45, registered, a little aged, and a second example unaddressed but with faults; 1946 Peace set on RA Kingston cover with printed text & 'CHIEF PARCELS OFFICE/ 5 /18FE46/NSW' cds (rarely seen on cover), faint toning; and 1953 Tasmania Sesquicentenary 3½d se-tenant pair & 2/- on three long covers (240x105mm) with different Port Arthur illustrations by Jack Peake.
