Large box with a duplicated array of mostly 1960s philatelic covers from post offices & radio installations within the Arctic Circle, about 50% are Canadian with excellent content from tiny offices in the Yukon & North-West Territories, also United States expeditions etc, and a range from Norway, quality of the markings is variable but many are very fine to superb & some are quite spectacular, a small number have one or more autographs, generally fine to very fine.

AMERICAN: 1931 Wilkins-Ellsworth Trans-Arctic Submarine Expedition letterhead with holograph letter headed "Saturday April 25" & signed "CD Holland/Arctic Sub Nautilus/Yonkers NY" requesting "...a quantity of Navy standard 4 ampere Glass Tube fuses..." & "...I do not know our itinerary as yet". With a photo presumed to be of Holland, who was listed on the crew manifest but without occupation.
