ONE PENNY - POSTAL HISTORY: 1914 (Apr 28) usage of 4d Kangaroo Registration Envelope to Austria uprated with 1d + Kangaroos ½d & 1d, 'HURLSTONE PARK/NSW' b/s & scarce red & black/white R label but the stamps cancelled in transit at Sydney. Very attractive.
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon marginal block of 6 (3x2) from the top of the sheet with part Plate 'No 1' , all with the vertical perfs misplaced but only the upper row with official patching & knife-cuts for separating the units, hinge remainders & the upper-units creased still a very striking block, Cat $600++.
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon marginal examples from the top (hinged in the margin) or base of the sheets, with Double Perfs at the Top or Base ACSC 60b, unmounted, Cat $1200. (2)
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon U/R corner block of 4 with Double Perfs at left ACSC #60b, minor 'silver' transference on the gum from a previous mount, unmounted, Cat $1500+.
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon block of 4 with central horizontal Double Perfs ACSC #60b, CTO with 'GPO/MELBOURNE' cds, sensible central reinforcing, no gum. A rare CTO multiple: most double perfs are at the margins of the sheets.
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon marginal block of 4 from the right of the sheet, CTO with full unmounted o.g. ACSC 60w, the right hand units with minor natural bends, the left-hand units are superb!, Cat $320++. CTO blocks are very scarce.

SIX PENCE: 6d maroon block of 8 (4x2), CTO with full unmounted o.g. ACSC 60w, Cat $640++. Rare & superb multiple! [Stated to be Ex Australia Post Archives but no CTO examples were released in the 1987 & 1988 sales by tender. They are more likely to be from the stock of Millers, the Melbourne firm that assembled the CTO/Specimen packs for sale at the GPO]
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon horizontal strip of 4 from the top of the sheet with complete Imprint and Plate 'No 1' CTO with 'GPO/MELBOURNE' cds ACSC 60wz, no gum, Cat $2250 for an imprint block of 8. Extremely rare: the only such CTO Plate Number piece we have seen.
SIX PENCE: 6d maroon CTO single additionally with type-written 'SPECIMEN' overprint ACSC 60wa, no gum, Cat $850. Believed to be unique! Ex Bechuanaland Postal Archives.
