Cat No:1
1854 1d black SG 1, margins just touched - at U/L & L/R to good, a little aged, unused, Cat £1700. A presentable 'Number One'.
1854 1d black SG 1 horizontal pair, the first unit just shaved in a couple of places, the second unit with margins clear to good, void-grid cancels in black, Cat £700+. An attractive multiple.
1854 Imperf 1d black SG 1 vertical pair, margins just clear to huge with a chunk of the adjoining unit at the top, crisp Numbered Grid '11' of Fremantle overstruck with two fine strikes of Perth's void-grid cancel in red, Cat £700+. Stunning! Red cancels are very scarce and a usage such as this - apparently because the original cancel in black on black was considered insufficient - is rare.
1902-11 V/Crown Irregular Compound Perfs 1d rose-pink ACSC W9 (SG 135) Perf 12½x12½x11x12½, two short perfs at U/R, cds of -OCT05, unpriced in the ACSC (£650). RPSofV Certificate (2021). [The ACSC states "Examples are very rare, and cannot be confirmed as existing in private hands". The similar 2d ACSC W19B (SG 136) is priced at $2000 (£1100)]
