St. Helena: 1903, King Edward VII, ½d - 2s "Government House" "The Wharf" overprinted "Specimen" affixed to large ledger page 0073 and canceled by large red "Postes et telegraphed Collection de Berne, and signed by the "Le Directeur des postes et Tèlegraphes" at the bottom right, Very fine and rare. The U.P.U. normally sent strips of five Specimein stamps at this time (three later) but it was the practice of Madagascar to separate the stamps and affix them to the Ledger Sheets.
