#304, 5c Blue, centered to upper left and with some light toning, tied by full strike of the extremely rare Tau/Samoa/Jun 23, 1909 duplex postmark to Upolu, German "Apia/Samor/27.09.9" transit backstamp, cover with harmless vertical pocket fold, very fine strike; there are two other recorded examples of this cancel, however they are both on postcards and from a much later period; the Jack Hughes collection of Samoa contained one such card from WWII and was then reported to be unique.
