1905 (8 Aug) registered Money Letter from Jacob Bapsan, Chaplynka (Ukraine) to "St. Petersburg Central Information Bureau of Prisoners of War", endorsed "Money, Ten Rubles", repeated in red crayon, with further endorsement "16 Aug" and "E.Kulin", franked on back with 1k, 3k and 20k Arms, with St. Petersburg arrival markings and five intact wax seals. Also "1-5 Sept 1905" handstamp and endorsed "Ispolneno" (done), probably an indication that a Money Order was prepared to be sent to Prisoner of War E.Kulin in a Japanese POW camp. An unusual money letter sent from Ukraine to St. Peterburg, from where it should have been converted into Austrian currency and sent by money order to the Japanese information office and from there to the prisoner at the POW camp (Image)
