TPNG material with some background to issued designs, pre-1952 commercial mail including internal native cover from Rabaul to Buin and uprated Australian Registration Envelopes from Port Moresby x2 (one to Switzerland) Lae or Madang, cover with PNG ½d & 3d tied by boxed 'IOMA' cds, philatelic covers including with circular & boxed 'POSTED LATE FEE' datestamps, printed FDCs for 1957 Surcharges (very scarce) & Birds (registered), 1963 WHO cds on five registered covers, etc, generally fine to very fine. 1952-94 mint or used in two Seven Seas albums, plus additional material including £1 Fisherman block of four CTO, Postal Charges with '3s' on 2½d used imprint block of nine & 6d blue used block of 16, a few covers, 1996 15k Depature Tax on plane ticket, and box of used, condition variable.

1961 Natives & Dancers 1d 3d 1/- & 2/- die proofs in the issued colours recessed in a single presentation card (156x114mm), the 1/- & 2/- in particular with some blemishes caused by the adhesive used, 'RBA/NOTE PRINTING/BRANCH' cachets on the reverse behind each proof dated "1-11-61" (1d) or "2-11-61" (others). A rare item. The stamps were issued on 26.7.1961. There are no archival records of the numbers of such proofs distributed, but it is unlikely to have been more than ten.
1994 Emergency Surcharges '21t' on 80t Shell SG 734 complete sheet of 50 (10x4) with Imprints at the four corners, a couple of trivial blemishes on the reverse, unmounted, Cat £2250+.
POSTAL HISTORY: Album of mostly philatelic covers with an array of coastal vessel markings and a copy of 'Ship Marks...of PNG' (2005), a few flight covers including 1945 Re-Opening both directions & 1953 Lae-Hollandia both directions, etc.
