RED OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on Perf 11½-12½ 4d dull purple, quite well centred & cut from the sheet at the base clear of the design, large-part o.g. Rate RRRR. Superior to the 'Besancon' example - similarly imperf at base but also with trimmed perfs at upper-right - that sold for SFr845.
RED OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on Rouletted 6d dull ultramarine, rouletting on all sides, tiny separation fault at lower-right otherwise superb, large-part o.g. Rated RRR. A larger stamp than the 'Besancon' example that sold for SFr1570.
NB: There is an error in the printed catalogue. This stamp used is rated RRRRR but unused is rated RRR. Otherwise, the description & estimate are correct.
RED OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on Rouletted 1/- red-brown with Broken 'C' in 'C.D.', an unusually large stamp with rouletting on all sides & cut from the sheet to preserve the design at left, tiny separation fault at lower-left otherwise superb, large-part o.g. Rated RRR+: unrecorded used by Ron Butler. The 'Besancon' mint example, without the variety, sold for SFr4110.
BLACK OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on Perf 11½-12½xRouletted 1d deep green, cut from the sheet at the base just clear of the design, unused. Rated RRRRR. The slightly larger 'Besancon' mint example sold for SFr1815.

BLACK OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on De La Rue Crown/SA Wmk Rouletted 2d orange-red, rouletting on all sides, '6'-in-circle cancel of Redruth. Rated R: unrecorded unused. The 'Tamiami' example sold for $263. [NB: '6' was the highest number of the Receiving Office cancellations]
BLACK OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on De La Rue Star Wmk Perf 11½-12½ 2d dull orange-red with an Extra Vertical Line of Rouletting, slightly trimmed perfs at left, '6'-in-circle cancel of Redruth. Ex Brown and Colonel Harry Napier (II). RPSofL Certificate (1965) incorrectly states "...perf 11½-12½ and roulette [sic]".
An enigma: Ron Butler lists 'Perf 12 [sic] x Rouletted' - probably based on the certificate - rated RRRRR. However, this stamp is perforated on all sides. As such it is unlisted, and the only recorded example, so it should be rated RRRRRR. Don Pearce concluded that it is a mis-rouletted stamp with perforations added to correct the misplacement.
BLACK OVERPRINT: 'C.D.' on Star Wmk Perf 11½-12½ 4d dull purple with a fragment of the 'C' from the adjoining stamp at right, '6'-in-circle cancel of Redruth. Rated RRR. [No dated examples have been recorded]
