EXTENSIVE HANDPAINTED FIRST DAY COVER COLLECTION, includes about 650 various covers, contained in six cover albums, about 90% are handpainted covers from several various makers, there are some early covers which include Crosby and a few others, the key to this collection is the vast number of Collins covers which appear to be almost 300 in number, we noticed some slight duplication here, some of the other makers are: D. Laz, Bennett, Fox, Pugh, Gold, Riley, strong showing of Peterman, Paslay, Van, Kraft, Dunne, Ham, also some Colorano's, the overall quality is outstanding with only a few scattered faults, we noticed several covers with retail values over $100 and perhaps over 75 covers which retail in the $50 range and then there are several hundred which have retail values in the $10-25 range, it appears there is over $10,000 in retail value here if not significantly more, easily the best handpainted cover collection we have ever handled, viewing will be a distinct pleasure with many of these covers being amazing works of art, at an average of $10 a cover this collection would be a steal, if you are interested in this area don't let this one get away, (ENV 5,000-6,000) (Image)
