Collections of French Community, Plus Others, with Haiti, Algeria, Indochina and Tunisia, plus a smattering of other countries. This group is housed in a couple of older Minkus albums, entitled The Independent Nations of Africa, a couple of stockbooks as well as stock pages in three binders. One of the binders contains a few hundred stamps from St. Pierre & Miquelon. Burundi is in a small collection and Haiti is housed in the stockbooks and includes imperforates with well over 1,000 stamps and although they are somewhat duplicated, there is good variety. Large Group of Mint and Used French Colonies Collections, 1880s-2000, with many thousands of mint and used stamps in over 100 manilla stock pages, filling a bankers box, with representation from over 60 issuing colonies and territories. Each collection has been organized by Scott number, for both mint and used stamps, with better representation from French Polynesia, French South Antarctic, Ivory Coast, French Colonies, French Guiana, Gabon, Guadalupe, Lebanon, Madagascar. A cursory check indicated just a few of the better stamps using 2023 Scott #s and catalogue values: French Andorra 19-20 (m.h., c.v. $230 total), French Colonies 7 (m.h., $80), French Guiana 18-30 (m.h., $1,148 total), French Polynesia C17-C19 (m.h., $106 total), Ivory Coast (m.h., $208 total), along with stamps, sets, and partial sets cataloguing $20 to $50 and up, leaving finds to the dedicated collector. Catalogue value of $35,658 for the lot was provided by the owner, using 2014 Scott catalogue values. Online photos show a sample of this large lot, and recommend in-person viewing to better appreciate the contents. A spot check indicated small faults with a few of the early stamps. The collection includes #s (all NH except for first item, and singles unless noted otherwise): 22ba (hinged pair), 84a, 84c (pair), 85b, 86b, 87b, 90ba (pair), 90la (sheet margin pair), 91c, 98b, 98c (sheet margin block of four), 99b, 99c, 99d, 100a, 102a, 100c (pair), 104aa (pair) and 105c, plus the following Postage Due stamps: 16b, 21aa, 21b, 22a, 23a (three singles) and 105 (a double red Arabic overprint variety that is not listed, catalogued as a regular stamp).
