740-49 Var, 1934 1c-10c Imperf Varieties, complete, from the Harold Ickes collection. Ickes (Sec. of Interior) and a collector friend of FDR, requested and the BEP consented to gum his imperforate sheets (he purchased two complete
sets of sheets). These stamps are from the original small group of the first 1934 printings (not 756-65), given by Farley to Roosevelt and a select group of small friends and the reason for the scandal that followed ("Farley's Follies"), all are NH
