3305   imageBRITISH PACIFIC PLUS SEYCHELLES POSTAL HISTORY GROUP. Approx. 600-700+ pieces primarily from the KGVI and QEII period, but with some earlier as well..  The Pacific material is mainly British with a focus on many better town usages and commercial usages from places like Tonga, Gilbert & Ellice, Papua, Samoa, etc., although there is also the typical fdcs and other items from New Zealand and a bit from Australia; however, it also includes commercial mail from smaller USA possessions like Guam and the Marshall Islands, also with much cancel interest.  The second part of this lot, about 150 pieces from the total,  is for Seychelles with many registered and commercial rate covers and several better town cancels/usages/frankings that are mainly ex. McCloy collection and a part of his study on rates and cancels in the KGVI and QEII era.  Though the focus on this material is a bit more modern, you just do not find this quantity on material of this type.  A great lot for the collector or dealer.

3307 O   imageAFGHANISTAN 19TH CENTURY IMPERFS HOLDING.

fascinating stock of over 3,000 imperforates in a well filled volume, the overwhelming majority are used with the typical cut and manuscript cancels; displaying a wide range of shades from the intensity of the various different printings, stones and papers; also a variety of different types and denominations, as well as interesting postmarks including  an extraordinary 1 abasi used in Calcutta with circular date stamp alone – and this was discovered among many of the 2 abasi denominations, this represents a tremendous opportunity for the Afghanistan specialist, from early tiger issues onwards that all requires patience and knowledge of this complicated area of philately. It is extremely unusual to find Afghanistan like this in such depth of the imperforates present, offered intact as received, there is a must sell instruction from the beneficiary and a highly recommended viewing.
