3265 OGO   imageGREAT BRITIAN SPECIALIZED COLLECTION/ ACCUMULATION. Mint and used collection and accumulation, from QV to QEII period in 11 albums, hundreds of loose pages, and hundreds of covers and cards; the collection reflects a high level of study with notes on flaws, watermark varieties, shades/printings, multiples of every stamp, both mint and used, several plate positional pieces, mainly complete gutter pairs, booklets, better cancels, etc.  with the emphasis more on the KGVI to QEII era  (with mint, used and multiples of every stamp); however, it starts with a Penny Black, QV plating studies, and a whole slew of printings/shades for the earlier material as well; the loose pages were bought from various sources to extract material to add to the collection and to further study of this material and there are many better items that need (hundreds of pounds in face alone) to be discovered among the pages; the covers are primarily a serious study of the QEII period first days, with regular and phosphor issues, many of the scarcer earlier cachets and special postmarks and even some minor plate flaws noted on cover; there are also items going back to the QV era, mainly for plating and shade study; mostly F-VF; a truly amazing holding of this material that is ideal for the specialist as well as the dealer - this amazing lot requires the use of the SG king’s and queen’s catalogs to extract the full value of this hoard of thousands of stamps.
