3318 nh/og,   GERMANY 1930a/50s WITH STRONG OLYMPICS GROUP.

An interesting stack of material in file folders particularly booklets with several dozens if not 100s of them, also interesting collateral such as Olympics 1936 commemorative hardcover books with both books 1 and 2, not with just black and white but also unusual color photos throughout, complete and in pristine condition including photographs of Jesse Owens and a noticeably muted nazism in the propaganda. Other interesting sections include West Germany, as far as we can see complete from the 1949 industries, up to Beethoven S/S, with much mint never hinged as the years go by, no empty spaces here including the posthorns complete mint as well, all housed in a Lighthouse album. Further includes both the winter and summer 1936 Olympics “Sonderbriefmarken der Deutschen Reichsport” presentation sheets as well as plenty of se-tenants, various commems housed on a stack of lighthouse pages, further 1936 Olympic games material including mint and used postal stationery, as well as a variety of 1936 Olympics slogan cancels on cover by the dozens including registered both combined winter and summer, etc, the more you look at this holding, the more there is to discover.

An excellent mint collection including imperforates and varieties on Lighthouse pages, the first few pages set the pace for all the rest with the French Zone imperfs incl high values corner margin singles, then Baden including an NH imperf pair of the 12pf Hebel,  similarly the 24pf statue signed Ebel (both Michel #4u, 22u respectively), also present the definitives with and without pf, the 1949 Engineering Congress, both types I and II NH (type II signed Schlegel), Monuments and Red Cross S/S, similar for Rheinland-Pfalz again with various imperfs, with and without pfs, Red Cross S/S, Wurttemberg  again complete, ending with a range of the so called “zwangszuschlagsmarken” both mint and used. A wonderful collection.

Well filled Lighthouse with apparently no empty spaces and some varieties, note all the Berlin overprints are genuine as bought on a new issue service, then in the 1949 definitive series, watermark error Michel #57x NH (signed Schlegel), the 1949 currency revaluation incl S/S NH (small gum thin on the upper right hand margin ) and the 30pf with the finger variety NH (Michel 70 I), virtually all NH from the mid 1950s onwards. A delightful collection to view.
