5168 og,O   FAR EAST ASIA COUNTRIES USED HOLDING. .For those that like overprints, shade and postmark varieties, look no further than this intriguing holding mostly squirreled away over many years. Beginning with POs in China, followed by Hong Kong with much QV about 150 examples, naturally some duplication yet some very good stamps such as the 5 cents o/ps on 18cts lilac and 28 cents on 30cts mauve, 2 of each, as well as various values to $1 o/ps inc 3 examples of $1 on 96cts grey olive without Chinese characters through to other denominations, again with various values and of course much interesting postmarks to study. There is also the distinct possibility of inverted wmks to find, this is such an oldtime holding. A similar pattern continues with EDVII with page after page replete with material, stamp on stamp, yet every stamp we studied was superb, the pattern continues with Malaya Straits Settlements and perhaps the most intriguing of all early Siam inc ATTS o/ps and yet again a plethora of postmarks, some in Roman, some in Thai alphabet, again well worth investigating, through to the satangs etc. There are also a few other countries at the end. Definitely a delightful lot for those looking for classical Far East holdings with huge potential when patiently worked on, a highly recommended and enjoyable viewing awaits. 1,500-2,500

5180 og,O,c   imageJUDAICA TOPICAL COLLECTION WITH WW II PERIOD POSTAL HISTORY.Very well researched, incorporating postal history as well as stamps, this makes a fascinating viewing covering a wide range of topics, especially Judaica. The first album specializes in ,Third Reich postal history including registered and commercial, as well as conquered and annexed territories from 1938 onwards through to concentration camps, Auschwitz, a postcard from Weimar-Buchenwald with all the regulations printed on the left hand side, a censored letter from Sachsenhausen concentration camp with contents, then a section with interesting observations made about the senders having to show their names as Sara and Israel or adding the word "Jude" to show that they were Jews in the correspondence, extraordinary material here including Dachau, etc etc. Also seen mixed frankings from Jersey and Germany during the occupation through to the assassinations plots on Hitler, and much else of that era. This is very probably the most important topic here, however there are many others areas as well such as chess, skating, skiing, physicists, music etc. Many countries represented including Ethiopia , Hungary, Monaco, Nicaragua, Polish forces in Italy, interesting maximum cards from Poland from the 1940s through to the scarce Roosevelt 1948 "fighters for freedom" complete series and even better miniature sheet, various French Colonies including Dr Schweitzer imperfs, Far East including  ,China, Hungary with imperfs, , , Russia similarly with imperfs etc. The collection is laden with award ribbons from various exhibitions.
