SPAIN
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
5034 og,O   CIVIL WAR PERIOD BARCELONA TELEGRAPH ISSUES SPECIALIZED ACCUMULATION.These issues are seldom seen in their own right, this represents an opportunity to buy these fascinating and specialized back of the book of the Spanish Civil War telegraph issues, specifically for Barcelona in quantity. There are 1000s of items in this old time stock holding with some complete sheets, as well as many large multiples and blocks. Much of these are imperforate and also included are proofs on ungummed paper, a variety of overprints with some dramatically misplaced, also some very scarce unlisted double impressions and many items very seldom encountered, if at all. There is much here needing further research among this extraordinary range. There are errors and varieties galore and again if it wasn&rsquo,t for the quantities present, much of this would make individual items in their own right.  ,Another feature is that some of these sheets, particularly the imperfs, have different numbers on the reverse for each row, not only for each stamp yet also different series o/ps, including those with missing numbers side by side with issues alternately overprinted etc. If we had to criticize this holding, it would be that there are too many Cadillacs lined up in a row! This is ideal for the Spanish specialist dealer, as this holding will surely yield huge dividends &ndash, very much an understatement - when broken down and marketed.

5035 og,O   SPAIN COLLECTION.Several 100s of stamps housed in an impressive old fashioned Schaubek album, mint and used, starting from #1 onwards, with about 4 dozen different imperforates from #1 onwards, including better, as far as we can see all genuine, condition on classics mixed as to be expected. Then various issues from 1868 onwards, more clearly punched holes on key values but by no means all and some of the better higher values having distinct possibilities here. The 20th century well filled, ending with back of the book from the Carlist, officials airmails, revenues, war stamps, civil war etc. Certainly an impressive album on a quick flick, please study carefully, sleepers highly likely. 750-1,000

SWEDEN
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
5038 og/nh   imageSWEDEN COMPREHENSIVE MINT COLLECTION.A very impressive mint collection filling up a Lighthouse album with hardly any empty spaces. The overwhelming majority is never hinged including much of the better 20th century. The 19th century is missing only a handful of stamps, this too occasionally has never hinged as well. For the 1854 issues, the 3 skilling banco to 24 skilling banco and the 1856 to 1862 local stamps are the first official reprints, as to be expected for mint, still seldom seen.  ,The 1862 onwards, are clearly all original and in condition far better than normally encountered. This leads through page after page to the 20th century, perhaps two empty spaces, e.g. all the good coils are here, as well as the obvious 1924 World Congress and UPU series, etc, etc. The collection ends with back-of-the-book again virtually complete including 1874/76 postage dues bi-colors perf 14, 1877 to 83 perf 13 to the 1kr. Please study the photoplates, the lot is offered intact as received with no single items taken out individually, a beautiful collection. (Image1) (Image2) (Image3)

5058 og,O   imageTURKEY AND OTTOMAN EMPIRE HOLDING.An extraordinary accumulation of several 100s of stamps, formed over many years by a serious collector who bought nothing but Turkey, kept what he wanted and then resold the rest. This specifically represents the material put aside for either postmark potential and/or further study, as well as many unusual overprints, lots of varieties, etc loaded with Tughras, star and crescent types including pin perfs and other interesting multiples. It is well worth noting that many parts of the Turkish Empire are represented here, including no doubt much scarce material. This is particularly ideal for the postmark specialist, as much of this still needs further categorization and is grouped for further investigation. There is also a section of fascinating locals on album pages, much back of the book, etc. There is also good more obvious items such as the 1920s definitives to 500 piasters, etc. This holding deserves a careful and unhurried viewing, preferably with Turkish specialized cataloges. ,Please study the photoplates to get a flavor of what is here, you will not be disappointed, a truly wonderful holding.
