4810 c   AUSTRIA-HUNGARIAN EMPIRE 19th CENTURY COVERS COLLECTION.A delightful one-volume packed holding of a few 100 covers and postal history from the stampless period through to WWI, including attractive color postcards with propaganda, all represented in an alphabetically organised showing of postmarks from N thru Z, A thru M lost. Some of the small towns include Nixdorf, Nikolsburg, Odrau, Ossegg (to New York with insufficient address cachet), Parchen, Petersdorf, Plaw, Prachatitz, etc, thru Zeidler, Znaim fieldpost, Zwickau, Zwittau, etc. Among the crisp cancelations on the stampless covers are ornamented blue Olmutz (1848), Prague 1824 black straight line and 1833 red oval, Pohrlitz (1837), Rakonitz (1847), ornamented straight line Reichenau (1818), Rokitzan (1842), Trautenau (1826), etc, etc. There is a wonderful diverse range here with parcel stationery, registered mail, interesting official and military material, as well as early ,19th century items, virtually all in excellent condition. 4832 og,O   imageBOLIVIA OUTSTANDING 19th CENTURY POSTMARKS COLLECTION.An important specialized collection of 19th century cancels. There are many 100s of stamps neatly organized on quadrille album pages. The quality is far better than normally encountered and some of the album leaves are simply stunning. There are for example Paz straight line cancels including coloreds red and blue, followed by geometrics and again different colors through to various cds with for example, Santa Cruz in oval as well as the early straight line cancels on the 1870s issue etc. This leads through to the 1897s including high value 2 bol superb used (Scott #54), as well as many others from that series. Then various segment cancels on the coat of arms types, further geometrics, crosses, lozenges, diamonds, ovals, etc, etc. Many more pages are replete with material, overwhelminghly in tip top condition. Other parts of the collection include a section for specialised postmarks for various different towns and villages, such as Arequipa, Cochabamba,Cotagiata, Oruro with many different types of cancels though to bisect, then Panza, Potosi again through to bisect, Poupo, Sorata, Store, Sucre,Tririja, Tupiza, Uyuni, Yacuiba to name but a few. Some of the many fancy cancels are also on bisects on piece. Other areas noticed include, certificado cancels, Bolivia used abroad, ambulante, etc. A collection that gets better and better on each inspection, a recommended viewing.
