U.S. & Worldwide Stamps, Postal History and Collections - June 6-8, 2013

Our building is filled to the brim with consignments for this auction, most notably the wide-ranging stock and collections of esteemed auction agent and auctioneer Lou Robbins plus the additional stocks of the Orange County Stamp Co. and the Worldwide Stamp & Coin Co. These, in addition to the valued consignments of over 130 other vendors, resulted in the sale before you now. The auction features such a delightful array of stamps, covers and collections that we hope no matter what your particular interests, you will find that something in the sale fits in very nicely within your own collection.

The first day of the sale consists entirely of U.S. and related areas (Possessions, Confederate, etc.) stamps and is particularly strong in U.S. mint singles grading 95 and above highlighted by the "98" 5c Jamestown and $2.60 Zeppelin. The postal stationery, especially postal cards, sections are teeming with many of the proofs, specimens and varieties prized by specialists. The second session features a wide range of British Commonwealth and Foreign stamps and covers, highlighted by an extensive group of Canada featuring high quality classic singles to modern errors and a really neat collection of Leeward Islands and related areas stamps and covers. The worldwide section is equally appealing with impressive French and German areas. The final session opens with U.S. and Possessions postal history with nice sections of transatlantic mails, Officials covers, the delightful John Krupnick airmails collection and a diverse group of machine and exhibition cancels, Hawaii and more. Rounding up the final session is the usual "Collections and Various" with its customary diverse selection of U.S. and worldwide stamp, cover and postal stationery collections.
