An excellent specialised collection of the overprinted issues specifically for the Yugoslavia forerunner period of Bosnia/Herzegovina, with a multitude of varieties and errors both listed and unlisted in Scott, as well as postal history, unissued material and other back of the book some of which is extremely scarce. Beginning with the overprints on the birthday commems, there are two complete series of inverted overprints, one mint never hinged and signed twice, then there is the complete series used on two registered express covers from Sarajevo to Vienna, followed by studies of the errors methodically organised denomination by denomination, the 10h carmine for example with inverted o/p block of four signed, red o/p instead of black, block of four with extra o/p inverted, date errors inc. "1 18" on signed block, missing date at right mint and used on piece both signed, etc, with a similar pattern on the other values to the 4k on 1k with missing "D" in "Drzava" signed, wide "B" in Bosnia in pair with normal, inverted comma instead of stop after first "S" of SHS in mint block of four and used single on piece, etc, as well as the 4k surcharge on 2k dark green campanile, seldom seen. The Kraljevstvo o/ps follow, again with complete inverted o/ps signed, as well as double with one inverted also complete and signed, then page after page of extraordinary items on this series, highlights including 45h on 80h orange brown block of 9 with central stamp o/p missing the emperor&rsquo,s head (signed), then red 50h surcharge double on 72h blue signed three times, etc, leading on to the unissued Cyrillic and Latin overprints and surcharges on the Emperor Karl I series, with many signed again highly unusual and very scarce. Also present in-depth are the special deliveries and postage dues, the former with inverted overprints, a 5h pair with extra overprint inverted and incorrect languages on both issues mint as well as each used on surcharged 8cts Bosnian warrior stationery cards with Cyrillic o/ps, then postage dues with complete inverted o/ps on 1918 series signed twice, 1918s full series used with "Franco" provisional handstamps not mentioned in Scott, as well as dramatic misplaced double o/ps, extra perforations, incorrect languages, 1919 surcharges with inverted and double o/ps, again mostly signed, etc, etc. This is a most exciting collection for the specialist of , Bosnia/Herzegovina and it will probably be a very long time before you see much of this material again, with so many signatures of Marjanovic, Bar Julij and other leading experts, offered intact as received. ,(photo)
