984 F 617-19 image#617-19, 1c-5c Lexington-Concord cplt., specialized group of ten first day covers with the first Guy Atwood Jackson cachet (Planty #1, 1A), 1c with four different towns (Boston, Lexington, Cambridge, Concord), 2c with three towns (Boston, Concord, Lexington) and 5c with three towns (Cambridge, Concord, Lexington) and all are to foreign destinations (two to France, one to Shanghai, China), the 5c covers with cut-out pasted on as always, very fine; a very scarce assemblage whose catalog value in Mellone does not accurately reflect their true market value; for instance, the 5c covers alone typically sell for $500.00-750.00 each when they make infrequent auction appearances.
