1080 Obl Hellrigl #40b, c imageHellrigl #40b, c, 1917-30 2a Aniline purple on native paper, imperforate, reconstructed sheet of 56, setting 24, composed of three large used blocks that match quite well in this scarcer shade which is fresh and bright, six inverted cliches are found in positions 8, 9, 14-15, 19 and 48, which is unique to this setting, all blocks have wide margins all around, Birganj telegraph cancels on all three blocks, three positions overlap in the reconstruction, very fine and attractive; Hellrigl lists this as a very rare setting with only two telegraph cancelled sheets known; ex-Haverbeck (Scott #15, a; $2,127.00+; S.G. #38, a; £2,031+). 1091 ngbl Hellrigl #43f, g imageHellrigl #43f, g, 1917-30 4a Yellow green on native paper, imperforate, tete-beche pair, setting 12, unused right margin block of four, positions 47-48/54-56, position 56 being the inverted cliche, without gum as issued, large to extra-large margins all around, fresh color and paper, nice impression that confirms the inverted cliche, very fine; this is an exceptionally rare tete-beche pair that is not reflected by the catalog values; position 56 is found inverted in setting 12 only this makes tete-beche pairs of this position at least as rare as the 1a green error of color which also exists only in setting 12, the setting is confirmed in this block by the misalignment of position 56 that only exists in setting 12; identifiable tete-beche pairs different than position 54 are extremely rare (Scott #17, a; $490.00; S.G. #41, a; £452).
