525 O   imageKn #19i(var); GJ #19PH(var); 1st Printing Perforated, 1864 5c Red rose, watermark reversed, imperforate horizontally, an extraordinary pair showing a very fine clear impression, highly remarkable for possessing both varieties -only the imperforate horizontally characteristic is already a very rare variety-, showing a complete strike of the "Salta" oval handstamp; to our knowledge, the only example so far recorded featuring these two varieties, unlisted in both Kneitschel and Jalil catalogues, of great significance and desirability for the advanced "Rivadavias" collector; one pair with the variety imperforate vertically (which is of similar scarcity as the imperforate horizontally), but that item not having an inverted watermark, was sold for €3,360 in the Investphila sale of the "Patagonia" collection in 2009; Solari-Mautalén certificate (presumably issued in 1988).
