2242 ogOc   Postal stationery large collection/accumulation of over 500 cards, envelopes and air letter sheets, there is very significant value in the postal cards with a total of over 250 cards about evenly divided between mint and used, includes a selection of the 1887-1904 classic period cards including some scarce used with ten of H&G #10, 12 and 15, we also note a mint example of H&G #13a error card, there are 70 postal envelopes with six used of the scarcer H&G #B1 and several mint and used of the overprinted issues, ten registry envelopes including a mint example and four used of H&G #C1, there is also extensive section of 150 air letter sheets including several of H&G #FG1 with FD cancels as most exist and a very rare legitimately used example flown to India and backstamped Bhopal on April 20, 1959, also a properly used example of H&G #FG4 which is also rare, other items of interest include four cards and air letter sheets with "Specimen " overprints plus some varieties, etc, condition overall is fairly good for the periods represented, most are fine-very fine; a collection well worth examining. 2258 c   image1871 Inbound stampless cover, originating in Tirhoot with nice "Tirhoot/JA 11 71" c.d.s. on reverse of this petite cover, along with equally nice "Nepaul/JA 15 71" c.d.s. of the British-Indian Post Office (Hellrigl type B23), very fine and attractive, this marking of Nepal is one of the very rare markings of this office with Hellrigl estimating less than ten examples known. 2259 c   image1874 British-Indian Post Office cover, unpaid cover apparently to Calcutta with very rare triangle "26/10/Nepaul" h.s. (Hellrigl Type B66) on front along with "Postage Due/1a ", value in ms. (Hellrigl type B57), on the reverse numerous transits and instructional markings including boxed "Unpaid/Sorting" and"Redirected" handstamps, arrived in Calcutta on Oct. 31st and sent back to Nepal on November 2, "Nepal/Nov 6" c.d.s as receiving marking, small insect damage to cover, not affecting markings, fine and scarce usage. 2260 c   image1870's-80's Inbound stampless covers, group of six covers posted from locations in India to the British-Indian Post Office in Kathmandu, five have receiving c.d.s. of "Nepaul" straight line in circle with date (Hellrigl type B24) and a sixth with similar postmark in smaller type (Hellrigl type B25), since they are stampless most also have "Postage Due" h.s.
