II, pen cancelled, both large margins to cut in used on 6c Nesbitt green on buff entire (#U14) from San Francisco (April 23) to Washington, Pennsylvania, cover bears large blue oval "Pacific Express Co./California/No. 124 Broadway N.Y." express handstamp together with the company's red "Paid" in oval handstamp, the Nesbitt cancelled on arrival in New York by "New York/May/24" datestamp with the 1c additionally bearing "Due 7," overstruck by a grid and "Due 4" handstamps, repeated on cover, small cover faults including staining at lower right, an interesting and scarce cover.
