752 ogO   Asia (Independent) mint and used collection from 1884-1974 of hundreds of different 19th and 20th Century issues, with strength in the latter to 1960s, mounted in three Scott Specialty albums and on loose Scott album pages filling a medium box, Iran, Korea, and Thailand are the strongest, incl. Korea unused 1895 5p-50p, mint 1900 block of 10 partially stuck to small piece, 1948 5wn Rhee, 1949 15wn Railroads, 1961 and 1962-3 airmail sets, Iran used 1876 1k, 4k, 1882-4 5s-10fr, and Thailand unused 1885 1t/1 sol, mint 1887 64a, used 1926 Throne Room set, and several other better issues within these three countries, also Afghanistan, Nepal, Philippines and other nations represented, occasional minor fault among the early issues, mint includes o.g., l.h., no gum as issued, mostly fine and better, excellent assemblage for further development, examine closely. 753 og/nhObl   Australia large specialized collection in two sections, one in an album with mint and used from the early Kangaroos and George V issues to a few issues in the Queen Elizabeth period, the other section is on pages and nearly all used of the Kangaroos and King George V issues,what both sections have in common is a very high degree of specialization, there are over 1,700 singles plus over 100 blocks of various sizes, mostly mint and including over 30 imprint or plate blocks, in the early issues emphasis is on die types, plate flaws, retouches and watermark varieties (inverted, sideways, etc.) , we note numerous shades, there are officials found throughout including the large and small perforated "OS" initials, there are four never hinged sets of the British Forces in Japan issue, all are blocks of four except the 5/- value which has a pair of each on chalk-surfaced paper and thin paper, condition is nice in terms of soundness with very few faults, centering varies on some of the early issues, mint includes hinged and never hinged and overall this is a fine-very fine collection; this is a collection that warrants careful examination as it is a true bonanza for the Australian specialist, if it were cataloged by the specialized catalogs it would total tens of thousands of dollars.
