861 og/nh   France clean mint collection in one volume in mounts, largely France proper but also includes collections of Algeria, French Polynesia and French Southern and Antarctic Territories, this latter contains good value in many early sets and singles, much of which is never hinged, the France starts with a modest collection of mint and unused 19th century classic starting with the first Ceres series (a couple are used), Napoleon and Bordeaux issues are also present incl. a nice mint 80c Bordeaux, also a selection of Sage issues in the various types with better values, 20th century is filled with better regular, commemorative and semi-postal sets, we note 1927 Strasbourg and 1937 PEXIP souvenir sheets, air mails have better incl. a 50Fr Banknote and the 1936 Transatlantic set is cplt. n.h., condition a bit mixed in the early issues but otherwise most are fresh and attractive with original gum, lots of never hinged is found in pos- war material with some earlier, largely fine-very fine throughout; order is a bit erratic but lots of meat will be found by those who examine this desirable collection. 862 og/nhO   Germany and related areas largely mint collection, contained in a single volume in mounts, this collection is very broad in its scope containing better sets and singles from Germany, Berlin and numerous related areas, there is a very modest amount of German States with a very few used present, this is about the only used in the collection though he tried to collect some used inflation period, the early German Empire is quite comprehensive with the Shield issues virtually complete unused or mint, better turn-of-the-century sets including mark values, numerous pre-war and post war sets incl. semi-postals, we note a mint OSTROPA souvenir sheet, a Post Horn set and many others, Zeppelins are nearly cplt., Berlin has many better early sets, other areas include German Colonies with better mark values, Plebiscite territories including better sets of Saar, German Democratic Republic incl. better early sets, etc., condition varies with some faults in the 19th century and early 20th century, some early issues are unused but the vast majority have o.g. with n.h. starting in the post-war period with some surprises earlier, overall fine-very fine; a valuable collection that requires examination to be appreciated. 864 og/nh/ng   Great Britain and British Commonwealth substantial mint collection in two volumes, the Great Britain is a significant portion of the value but there are selected British countries from around the world that also have very good value, Great Britain starts with a mint #3 and includes a number of better unused and mint surface printed issues, we note #27-28, 37, a rare #40, plus #55, 62 (pl. 17), 66, 85 (2x) and #87 (pl. 13), also later shilling and pound values which include some of the very few used in the collection, there are better mint Victoria, Edward VII and George V sets with a mint £1 P.U.C., Great Britain also includes many later sets, singles and souvenir sheets, other Commonwealth countries include British Europe with some better Cyprus, Malta and Ireland, Australian area is rich with some states including better high values and attractive early semi-postals as New South Wales #B2 n.h., Australia proper contains a nice selection of early George V and Kangaroo issues to the 10/- plus many later better sets and singles, New Zealand also has excellent value with a smattering of 19th century and better sets as the 1898 Series cplt., other countries of note include South Africa with early sets to the £1 and various bilingual issues to the 20/-, there is a little Caribbean with better sets and high denominations of Bahamas and Jamaica, plus Bermuda, condition is mixed in the early 19th century but for the most part this collection contains a lot of very clean collectable material with o.g., some 20th century issues from the 1930's are never hinged with more modern largely so, the vast majority are fine-very fine; a very worthwhile collection that warrants careful examination.
