1422 nhbl   Image1943 2c Blue "Free Philippines Guerrilla Postal Service", complete sheet of 25 with complete full margins, fresh color, folded along some of the perforated lines, some gum loss in right selvage and typical skips in a few places, otherwise the gum is very fresh overall and free from the tropicalized gum which is usually seen, fine; only 500 stamps were printed and believed to be one of a few surviving complete sheets.

Printed in Australia during World War II, this stamp was issued for use on the island of Mindanao. They were supplied to Guerrilla forces on the island under the leadership of Col. Wendell W. Fertig. (Image)

1423 c   Image1943 2c Blue "Free Philippines Guerrilla Postal Service", single tied to homemade cover (looks to be a ballot for voting) by black "Posted in the Free Philippines/Mindanao Guerilla Area/30 JUL 1944" handstamp with ms. "0" in "30" as cancel originally read "32", addressed to "The Saturday Evening Post" in Philadelphia, matching censored handstamp and boxed "We Depend Upon Gen. MacArthur's Pledge to Return" with an additional strike on reverse, cover with damaged peripheral edges and staining which effect the adhesive; a mere 36 covers are believed to exist with this being one of the few legitimate usages known. 1424 c   Image1943 2c Blue "Free Philippines Guerrilla Postal Service", single tied together with a U.S. 6c Carmine air post (#C25) to cover by a violet "Posted in the Free Philippines/Mindanao Guerilla Area/9 APR 1945" handstamp, addressed to an Ed Williams while he was in the Army, light creasing at right and a paper clip rust stain at left, neither affecting the adhesives, fine; this is being offered from Ed Williams estate so it has never been on the market before; accompanied by various research material Mr. Williams assembled, including correspondences with military personnel who where in the Philippines, and various military handstamp markings.
