1841 (Mar 27) entire from Somerset House to Switzerland, with 1840 1d black pl.9 JK, good margins all around, placed contrary to regulations at top left and tied by multiple strikes of the London tombstone datestamp, with "STRAND, D" hs,
further tombstone, oval "P.D" and Calais entry adjacent, reverse with Delle and Neuveville arrival with "34" rate on arrival.
A spectacular usage to Switzerland.

1840 1d black V.R. Official, JF, the famous “Largentiere” cover, first recorded in 1899, used on entire from London to Tetbury, Gloucestershire, dated 3 Jul 1840, the stamp with large balanced margins all round, tied by red Maltese
cross, incredibly the stamp and portion of the top right corner of the entire were at some time removed then thankfully reattached at a later date to preserve this magnificent rarity widely regarded as the finest "VR" cover of the very few examples
known, a major exhibition show piece and without a doubt, one of the most important covers of British Philately.

1841 (Apr 27) entire from Belturbet, Ireland, addressed to the British Consul in Cadiz, Spain, with 1840 2d blue in block of six, strip of four and three singles, mixed margins and a couple with faults at top, each cancelled by good
strikes of the black Maltese Cross, endorsed "via Falmouth" and put aboard the "Royal Adelaide", reverse with Belturbet despatch, Dublin and London transits.
Considered the most important Irish cover going abroad, as well as being the highest franking of the 2d blue abroad and the highest 1840 issue franking to Spain.
