66688 ,,DE,O,S,   image1881 substantial collection of the surcharge issues neatly presented and (in most cases) identified on Hagners in a binder with the majority mint (or unused, without gum), with a few used. Grouped under the various settings, we note '1/2' on 6d x 17 and '1/2' on 1/- dull blue x 15, with an extensive group of 62 '1/2' on 1d issues from settings 8 to 11, including 5 strips of 3, 3 pairs and an example with the 'Throat flaw'. There are 42 examples of '1/2' on 1/- lilac from settings 4 to 10, with 2 strips of 3 and a pair, '2 1/2' on 6d black x 8 (SG 26 with cert), 10 x '2 1/2' on 1/- lilac (SG 29 with cert), '4' on 1d with 2 mint and 5 used and on 6d with 6 mint and 3 used. Condition is a little mixed (as is to be expected with these issues) but there are many fine examples and this represents a great opportunity to acquire a substantial holding of these complex and interesting issues. A conservative catalogue value is well in excess of £30'000.
