66602 ,,,   The Swakopmund collection in album with German South West Africa 1897-98 Eagles including two 25pf hinged mint, 1901 and 1906 Kaiser Yacht sets and then an extensive range of King George V overprints, sorted into types with many plate marginals and varieties with noted Type I /2d 'Arrica' for 'Africa' (2), 1d plate 6 marginal block showing one without stop after Africa (cat R170,000), 1/3d pair inverted overprint, 5/- block of four with 'blunted Z', overprint not aligned, Type II 5/- and 10/- pairs hinged mint, Type III set to £1 including 2d marginal block of four double overprint, Type IV 2/6d plate corner pair, Type VI to £1, Type VIa set to £1 and noted 1/2d block of 24, one with 'Afrioa' variety (cat R67,000), 5/- and £1 corner plate pairs, 1926 Pictorials including 1d block of four 'Afrioa' variety, 1927 Pictorials in block of four and most values to 10/- with 'no stop', 2d double overprint, one inverted pair, SWA £1 (3) and 1931 Pictorials and then to 1961. A splendid collection with extensive ranges of all overprints, many blocks and control pieces and varieties throughout, generally fine condition, requires viewing to full appreciate.
