The Early Issue of Hejaz & Nejd Kingdoms
1916-1932 Extensive specialised and valuable collection/accumulation neatly presented in three well-appointed black Schaubek albums each with their respective dust jackets.
The extent of the collection shows strength in the first issues of Hejaz, through the later Nejdi Occupation of Hejaz and finally completing the three volumes with the Hejaz and Nejd period under the King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud. Throughout this wonderful
assembly, we have an abundance of mint and used singles with many duplicates, plus a fine array of mint multiples, overprint varieties including inverted, double, double one inverted, ovpt on reverse, double ovpts on revers, part ovpt missing,
mispaced ovpts etc., plus others showing imperforates, perforation shifts etc., some with certificates and some signed "ela" and "A.EID" plus the usual numbers of forgeries as expected with a large collection of these difficult issues. Also fine
ranges of the postage due issues.
However, without a doubt, the highlights of the collection are 1924 1/2pi red overprint inverted (Sc.L100a, $1100), the 1925 Newspaper "Matbua" 1/2pi scarlet, mint, signed "ela" and "A.EID", plus a certificate from John Wilson (SG N209, £6'500), 1924
Postage Dues 1/2pi, 1pi and 2pi (SG D57-59, £11'250).
