1864 Accompanying letter for a parcel weighing ~9kg for a trunk containing 120 packs of playing cards valued at 900 lei sent on 28/10/1864 from Iasi to Galati, arrival 1/11, via Tecuci (30/10). The item bears the "curtain"/"drapery" dated
postmark of Iasi and also the C2 FRANCO JASSY marking used for money sendings or parcels, with the inscribed value of 18 lei and 12 parale, paid by the sender. A few file folds and repaired tears along them, but marking very fine, a scarce entire.(Image 1)

1865 Accompanying letter for a money sending of 9'450 lei sent on 20/5/65 from Iasi to Galati from the well known Theologo correspondence. The sending was paid in cash "17 ½" below the FRANCO marking and bears a nice strike of the elusive

Postal Forms. 1785-1861 Lot containing 3 Austrian receipts/confirmation of delivery receipts used in nowadays Romania. First is a receipt from Hermannstadt (now Sibiu) from 1785, the 2nd is a confirmation of receipt for a letter sent during
the Crimean War on 23/1 1856 from Bucharest and the latter is a receipt for a parcel sent from the Consular Austrian post in Bucharest. Some punch and pin holes, small faults to be expected, normal for this type of material, fine general condition
for this unusual material.
