1919 (sept-Nov) Two postcards from a telegraphist in the Italian Military Mission in Budapest (manuscript), the earlier carried by courier to Trieste, where the Hungary 10h applied on departure was not considered as valid, so
it remained uncancelled with Trieste cds at left, but without applying a tax; the later item was correctly franked with "Leoni" 5c & 10c and tied in and censored in Trieste after courier's carriage. A very rare duo.(Image 1)

1920 (July 26) Laissez-passer signed by the Major head of the Military Staff of the Italian Military Mission in Polonia, with corresponding cachet in violet, indicating that the lawyer Emilio Pincherle was travelling with
diplomatic courier and was in charge of the delivery of two bags from that Mission to the Ministry of War. A unique document proving the existence of the courier service with diplomatic status which served in various countries in the Inter-Wars
period to forward the correspondence of the Italian missions, delivered to either local Italian military offices, Rome or civil/military P.O.'s in Veneto (in this case the courier travelled to Rome).(Image 1)

plebiscite, datelined in Vilnius and carried by diplomatic bag to the Italian Legation in Warsaw to be posted in thsi city, uprated with 3m on 40 f. tied by "Warszawa" cds, with very fine "Société des Nations/Commission de contrôle/League of Nations"
double circle at left; the sender indicates his address to be through the Italian Legation in Warsaw, and writes: "I am always very satisfied with my mission here: now I have been for four months and a half". (Also a later regular cover from Vilnius
