Crown CC, perf. 12½ all used on 1866 cover from Port of Spain to Canada West, all tied by "1" numeral obliterators in black with "♚ / PAID / AT / TRINIDAD" alongside in red. 'London / Paid' transit in red (May 14) and carried on the Allan Line Steamer 'St. David'. Reverse with double arc 'Trinidad' despatch cds (April 23) and Hamilton / UC' cds (May 31) and 'Embro' arrival cds (June 1). Closed cover tear at top but a remarkable three colour franking to a most unusual destination. Cert.
