6231 imageFrench Shipmail from the Americas 1875 (Dec 5): Double rate Entire letter from Porto Cabello to Malaga, bearing Siège 40 c. orange and Cêrès 1872 80 c. rose in a horizontal pair, adhesives in a deep fresh colour with good perforation, tied by Anchor lozenge, octogonal "PORTO-CABELLO" datestamp and framed "P.P.", both in black alongside. Taxed upon arrival in Spain with '8.R' due. Reverse struck with "LIGNE A PAQ. FR. No 3 7 DEC 75" shipmail' cds of the vessel 'Ville de St. Nazaire', in addition "ESTAFETTA DE CAMBIO MADRID" (Dec 20) transit and MALAGA arrival (Dec 27) cds's. Lightest horizontal file fold well away from the stamp just mentioned for accuracy, not distracting at all from this most attractive and rare Shipmail usage from Venezuela to Spain. Certs.
