1862 (Oct 20) stampless cover to "Ballarat/Australia" with 'KJOBENHAVN/20/10' cds, oval transit of 'HAMBURG/21.10.62' & London cds of OC23/62 in red all on the face, the reverse with poor Melbourne transit of JA13/63 & superb 'BALLAARAT' arrival (note the spelling), one rear flap missing, contemporary ink-stains and some aging/soiling. The second-earliest recorded item from Denmark to Victoria.
