Five Macdonald-Cartier items, including a US Postal Reply Card bearing a 1¢ green Admiral tied by a Montreal 8 AP 1914 'Cartier Centenary / Celebration / Centenaire Cartier / Montreal / Sept. 6-13, 1914' slogan cancel plus four proofs with partially excised design elements (1¢, 10¢ and two 20¢) which were used for 'mocking-up' other stamp designs after the decision was made not to proceed with the production of the stamp issue and all dies and rollers were destroyed.
