838 *0 GREAT BRITAIN The Windsor Album that the Stanley Gibbons company produces for collecting the stamps of Great Britain is one of the finest albums there is. Made of high quality archival paper and in a spring back binder, the album has spaces for all the stamps of Great Britain including all the various plate numbers on the early issues and numerous Gibbons shades. This collection, carefully and lovingly made over several decades, is highly complete and in nearly uniform VF quality ( two stamps- #90 & #142 have perf initials of the firms that bought and used them in the nineteenth and early twentieth century when the postage sums these stamps represented were such a lordly sum that the companies needed to control employee theft). All in all this is one of the finest Great Britain collections that we have ever offered, in uniform Very Fine quality and with a current Scott value of over $57,000.
