Mallette, "Having no correspondent in your place", asks the postmaster if he would collect Mallett's account againt a Mr. A.A. Avery remitt same by mail (using the attached stamp) minus any commission, and, "should it not suit you to colllect, will you please hand over to a suitable person and oblige." Wow. Apparently a Postmaster had lots of unusual resposibilities!. (Image)
