Collection of correspondence between Polish mother Wanda Skarzynska in Warsaw and her daughter Halina who was in German prisons; items date from summer of 1942 until the end of 1944, including small handwritten scraps, handwritten letters on official prison letter forms, some envelopes, both stampless or stamped w/ Hitler Heads, various markings, return letters from mother and typewritten correspondence w/ prison officials, including a rejection of clemency; Halina was held at Dortmund, then Berlin-Charlottenburg and was moved to Ravensbrück in November, 1944; mother's last postal card was returned Dec 13, 1944; a few other items as well, gen F-VF (Image)
